The Association for the Development of Arts and Crafts was born in 2015 in the headquarters of the Volunteer Firemen Association of the Caminhos de Ferro do Sul e Sueste in Barreiro, Portugal. Very close to what we call the Station or the Terminal or the uneven. And ADAO is also the Station. The Station of dreams and ideas, the Terminal of Wills and Emotions and the creative response to uneven times. The large spaces and work rooms that were the sleeping quarters, workshops and garage of the barracks, now serve as cradle for the creativity of artists, architects, musicians, performers and all who “come to do good”.
